Estadio Victoria in Aguascalientes was inaugurated on July 25, 2003, as part of the urban development of the complex where the city’s old railway system was once located. Its construction addressed the need for a modern stadium to replace the old Municipal Stadium and provide superior facilities for professional soccer; upon opening, it became the home of the Club Necaxa soccer team.
The project was launched to strengthen the state’s sports infrastructure and establish Aguascalientes as a host for top-tier events. Over the years, the stadium has hosted major Liga MX matches, as well as international events and large-scale concerts. Its modern, functional design positioned it as one of Mexico’s most advanced venues at the time.
Today, Victoria Stadium represents not only a sports venue but also a symbol of identity for local fans and a key hub in the city’s cultural and social life.
Estadio Victoria does not have fixed daily visiting hours like a museum, as it is a sports venue that opens primarily for matches and events. Stadium exterior: the outdoor areas can be viewed freely, although there is no access to the interior facilities outside of events.
