Overview

Garabato Hacienda, originally known as San Isidro Labrador Hacienda, is one of the oldest and most iconic haciendas in the state of Aguascalientes. Located in the northern part of the state, near Pabellón de Arteaga and San Francisco de los Romo, this historic estate dates back to the 17th century and was, for centuries, one of the region’s most important agricultural and livestock centers. Its popular name comes from the “garabatillo,” a thorny plant characteristic of the area.
