The From Chicahual to Calavera Festival is one of the most representative cultural celebrations in Jesús María during the Day of the Dead season. This event brings together two of the most important symbols of the municipality’s and the state’s identity: the traditional Chicahuales, an emblem of the culture and patron saint festivities of Jesús María, and the iconic calaveras, inspired by Mexican traditions dedicated to remembering and honoring loved ones who have passed away.
