Overview

Ciénega de Quijas is one of the most spectacular natural areas in the municipality of Calvillo, located on the slopes of the majestic Sierra del Laurel. This ecological haven is distinguished by its extensive grasslands, oak and pine forests, as well as the presence of natural springs, seasonal streams, and landscapes reminiscent of the great North American prairies. It is considered one of the areas with the greatest natural richness and scenic beauty in the state.
